Talking Dogs And Taunting Chipmunks

I apologize in advance for the fact that I have made yet another cat music video. It’s just that we have a really cute little chipmunk that keeps coming up on the Squirrel Deck and driving Jack absolutely nuts.

But first, as a reward for not throwing rotten tomatoes at me (you’re not doing that, right?), the cutest talking dog video I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something! Honestly, I’m not sure it’s even dubbed. In case you haven’t already seen it:

Jack is adorable – keep the videos coming. As far as the dog goes – he talks almost as well as my dogs. Of course mine have an advantage – they live with a parrot.

Many other readers will regret your encouragement of my videos…but sounds like you need to get to work on your animal videos! Have your dogs call my cats, we’ll figure it out.

You can never post too many cat videos for this insane cat lover! My Jake, the only cat that is allowed outside, used to kill chippies which kept the population down. Now that he’s an old cat and more likely to sleep on the lounge than chase anything (he hasn’t hunted in years), the chippies are reproducing and becoming increasingly naughty. I saw one doing a chorus line routine at the side of the pond! Jake yawned. BTW the music was perfect. I have to figure out how to add music to a video.

It’s good to know there’s at least one other cat person out there crazy enough to a) have four cats and b) love watching cat music videos! Poor Jake, he probably vaguely remembers his wayward youth. When we got our kittens three years ago after having a 17 year old cat we were quickly reminded of how active and rambunctious younger cats are. We’d forgotten! But you got a taste of that with Morgan. FYI, adding music is easy if you use Windows Live Movie Maker. There’s an “add music” tab and you can choose the start and stop times, etc.

    Ah Jack…you are too cute..

He really is-and you of all people know the difficulties that poses. We’re both held captive by too-cute pets!

We trap squirrels at our house, and humanely relocate them “down the road” . . .

Chipmunks started digging tunnels by my house. The animal wrangler at first thought groundhogs were the culprits, but the chipmunks stole the food and slipped through the cage bars. In addition to the initial visit fee, I spent $60 per chipmunk to be humanely trapped and moved to a State park, an expense that would have been larger but the wrangler landed in the hospital with kidney stones and his daughter contacted me to spring the traps because she had no time to schlep said chipmunks to a Srate park. But I digress. Chipmunks can be destructive critters. And they loved our house because Mort fed them. Love, your other PA cousins

Hmm, didn’t know that about chipmunks. It brings to mind Bill Murray in Caddyshack…
