Shamelessly Blogging Around

You know you’re always first in my heart…but yes, I’ve been blogging on another site. Didn’t we agree to an open relationship? I’ve done a little guest blog for CaringBridge. This is part 2 of a 3 part series.

Worry not, I could never love them the way I love you guys.

Humor is essential to life. I’m glad humor carried you through dark times and that you’re using it now to enrich the lives of others.

    But do they have cats?

      Love the purple room!

Thanks! It was actually kind of a dusty rose color, but we repainted the whole house three years ago and that room (library) is a deep green now. We changed the colors of every room in the house, put down new floors, new kitchen counters, etc. right before we brought home the current batch of cats in August 2011. Yes, celebrating three years of feisty kittens!

You redecorated for your cats? I am in awe!

          • Jill Foer Hirsch says:

Actually, because of our old cat Mukki who passed away July 4, 2011. She was a great cat but for the fact that she peed anywhere and everywhere except her litter pan. She destroyed every piece of carpet in the house. We replaced most of it with wood floors but put carpet in upstairs and thank goodness no problems with these cats.

Anyway, we started off just doing the floors and then got carried away and it turned into countertops and backsplash and painting and, well, you know how that goes. But so easy to have workers in the house when there aren’t any cats to keep locked up!

I was thinking your cat was pretty naughty to pee on countertops and backsplashes too. I understand scope creep and yes, so much easier than with cats underfoot. Now you have to wait until they all go!

    • Jill Foer Hirsch says:

No, they are therefore clearly inferior!
